Crescent Moon At The Hopfields

First time out shooting at night after a couple of weeks, featuring the Crescent Moon on the second day after New Moon. The hopfields of my home, the Hallertau, give a great graphic contrast to the changing colours during nautical twilight at nights. Even better the temperature was down to -10°C, so the air was crisp and crystal clear. A good night out. Enjoy!

My Favorite Images Of 2018

Though I have been to a lot of countries in 2018, some of my favorite shots happened just around the corner of my home turf (Lower Bavaria, Germany). Narrowing down some +10k images into a set of 12 takes some time, but showing them off in a community with like-minded photographers is more than rewarding. If you want to be a part of it too, head over to: https://www.jmg-galleries.com/blog/2018/12/16/blog-project-photos-2018/ and say Hi to Jim Goldstein, who is putting up this project every year. Enjoy!

My Favorite Images Of October 2012

It´s November already and  after selling my property in February (home and workshop, and finally getting the money after a six months long-lasting lawsuit), and after the death of my mother in July, things are getting back to normal, well, some sort of. The debts are paid, I got myself some new toys to play with and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for traveling/cruising around. I´m still able to do what I like to do, with the back-up of my  fantastic wife and family, who are supporting my new “life-style” at 100%. The month of October was under the sign of my journey back into the past – to see the place where one of my uncles had fallen during WW II around Volgograd, former Stalingrad, Russia. Enjoy my favorite picks from October!

The Milky Way is faintly visible over the illuminated statue of “Mother Russia”; some may find the so-called ´Summer Triangle` with the stars: Deneb, Altair and Vega…

Best Of January 2012

To be a bit better prepared for the next “Best Of …” on Jim Goldstein´s blog, I´ll select my best images from each month from now on. I also have been honoured on Jim´s “Best Of 2011” review with my image selection, among professional photographers like Gary Crabbe, Michael Frye, William Neill, Steve Sieren, J.P. Caponigro, to name a few  – see here: http://www.jmg-galleries.com/blog/2012/01/10/best-photos-of-2011-by-jmg-galleries-blog-readers/,  # 171. Which one is your favorite? Enjoy!
