Rendezvous At The Walhalla

I used to come to this place from time to time in earlier days, but haven´t been here for the last 15 years. The Walhalla is located some 10 km away from Regensburg, which is called to be the most Italian city out of Italy. The Walhalla is a Hall of Fame, built 1830-1842 by the Bavarian king Ludwig I. For more information see this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walhalla_temple .

The temple is covered on three sides with giant oak trees and the falling acorns made a lot of noise, like someone is moving through the thicket – scary. And sometimes it looks like there are shades moving through the colonnade, but there haven´t been anyone from 11 pm to 4 am. What an amazing place this is! Enjoy!

Welcoming me to the left: the Pleiades/M45 and to the right: Jupiter

The Milky Way and a few high clouds backlit by city lights; the bright star at the lower edge is Vega, constellation of Lyra

The bright star above the pediment is Capella, constellation of Auriga
